Pilot Training Academies located in the UK, Australia, Spain and Montenegro, provide centralised locations for advanced flight and theory training that prepares students to fly for international commercial airlines.

The Chief Theoretical Knowledge Instructor is responsible for all aspects of Theoretical Knowledge training in The Academy. He/she ensures that each student and instructor meets course standards, training requirements and objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Development/discipline of all Ground Instructors at Airways Aviation Academy
  • Accountable for ensuring that the school is in compliance with the national regulatory requirements with regard to delivery of Theoretical Knowledge Training
  • In concert with the Head of Training defining and monitoring the required quality and standard of training given by the Ground training staff
  • Ensuring Training policies and processes are suitable for task and regulatory requirements. Advising of Shortfalls and remedial requirements
  • Ensuring that there is an adequate number of suitably qualified Ground training staff available to undertake the required training task of the school
  • Communicating/promoting policies, procedures and standards throughout the Ground school
  • Ensuring all Ground Training Staff are suitably qualified and company standards checks completed
  • Ensuring that all Ground training documentation, manuals and courseware are fit for purpose and meet the requirements of the business
  • Ensuring that Training is delivered to meet Airways Aviation Academy objective

Qualifications, Experience and Personal Qualities:

  • Four-year degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent aviation related experience
  • Ability to work well in a highly structured environment
  • Team oriented
  • Result oriented
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
  • Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Outlook

Geographical Coverage:

  • Oxford, United Kingdom
  • Huesca, Spain (occasional visits may be required)
